Andrea Kriz is a PhD in Biological and Biomedical Sciences, currently doing postdoctoral research in human brain genetics at Harvard Medical School, and a science fiction author. Her short stories have appeared in Clarkesworld, Lightspeed, Asimov's Science Fiction, and have been translated into French in Galaxies SF.
Her short story collection Learning To Hate Yourself As A Self-Defense Mechanism (Interstellar Flight Press, 2024) includes "There Are No Hot Topics On Whukai" and "Communist Computer Rap God". Her recent work includes the novelette, "Udo Gehler and the Virgin Bitch of the Resistance" (Lightspeed, June 2024). She is also a participant in the Dartmouth Speculative Fiction Project, a collaboration between authors and Dartmouth faculty to create an anthology of short fiction exploring the future of humanity.
